www.galabingo.com was not always in teh hands of GalaBingo I learned the other day. Someone told me that they obtained the name in an auction no more that 18 months ago.
I learned by doing a few google seraches that it went for over $70,000 USD which is rather alot for a domain name. Well I doubt many bingo players will ever spend that on a domain name when you can get them for free at sites like blogger.com
Any way it makes sence that the largest online bingo site in the uk should own www.galabingo.com as well as the .co.uk because other wise it would be really hard for on line bingo players to find galabingo online.
That said there are loads of great online bingo sites in the UK but www.galabingo is by far the most popular ever since sunbingo split from tombola. So far it dosn’t look like this was the best move by sun bingo.
